What is going on with the Robert Ripley biopic project you ask? Well the good news is, Gong Li is still in it. The bad news is, everything else.
First of all, the film has been pushed back to 2009. Johnny Depp left and was replaced by Jim Carrey. So far not so bad. Here is the clincher though: Tim Burton left and was replaced by Brad "Casper" Silbering. He also directed Jim in the recent "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Lost Time and Dollars". The film has a new writer too, the guy who penned the Ace Ventura movies. It's a good thing Li recently announced she'll play any Hollywood part no matter what, or else I'd be worried for her sanity. Now I'm just worried for mine.
